Line Dancing
Learn To Line Dance

Line dancing is one of the most popular dance forms worldwide.   No partner is needed and it is great for fitness and health, both physically and mentally. It helps to keep joints supple and builds up leg muscle strength. It’s also good for heart and lungs and memorising the step patterns exercises the brain.   But most importantly – it’s BRILLIANT FUN!!!

Like anything else it is enjoyed best if it is learned properly from the start. The easiest approach to learning is via a properly structured and progressive programme. The ideal syllabus is the beginners line dance programme including the A-B Series, which was created and developed by Val Myers. The complete programme of 30 dances for teaching line dancing to Beginners was written in 2002 as no other such published programme existed. The beginners line dance programme is a structured and progressive programme which uses a system of building blocks.

THE KEY PHILOSOPHY BEHIND THE BEGINNERS LINE DANCE PROGRAMME AND THE A-B SERIES   IS TO TEACH ABSOLUTE BEGINNERS “TO LINE DANCE" NOT JUST TO TEACH THEM "SOME LINE DANCES"!

The beginners line dance programme is widely tried and tested and once mastered in full, provides a thorough base for progression to more difficult dances. More details of the complete programme can be found on Val‘s website:-  www.vmyers.com

The A-B Series
The first five of the 30 dances in the programme are for Absolute Beginners and are known as the A-B Series and it is best to start with these
